TeamViewer Support (Please arrange a session with us first)

During an online therapy session we will connect to your computer, so that we can watch how you interact with StepByStep, and modify the therapy based on how the session is progressing. We use TeamViewer to do this, which uses a secure, encrypted connection.

TeamViewer is not installed on your computer, and you do not need administrator rights to run it. When the session is completed, TeamViewer is removed from memory, and we will no longer be able to connect.

We also use TeamViewer for support sessions when we really need to see what is on your screen - it can often be the quickest and easiest way to resolve an issue.

You will remain in control at all times - you can disconnect at any time you want, and you can always see what we are doing.

When the session ends, and you close TeamViewer, the connection is broken, and TeamViewer is removed from the computer memory.

When you click on the button below, you will be asked to 'run' or 'save' the file (depending on which browser you are using). You should choose to 'run' the file. After agreeing to the disclaimer, your will need to give us the ID, which will be in the format 123 456 789. We will then connect to your computer.

StepByStep is designed for the Windows Desktop, for Windows 7, 8 and 10.

It has been designed with ease of use as a priority, and we have found many Clients like to use touchscreens.

We recommend a minimum processor of an Intel Atom Z3740 @ 1.33 GHz or equivalent, with a minimum of 2GB of RAM.

StepByStep uses a large amount of multi-media, and requires 2GB of free disk space.

We find that a minimum screen resolution of 1366x768 tends to be acceptable, but a full HD screen 1920x1080 provides a better experience.

Clients have reported to us that they like using StepByStep on 10" tablets, but that smaller screens can be awkward to use.

As StepByStep uses voice recording and voice-recognition as part of therapy, we recommend that you use an external microphone, unless you have a particularly good microphone built in to your laptop / tablet.

We have a range of pre-configured computers available from our store, which we have selected to be suitable for use with StepByStep.

We no longer sell StepByStep version 4.5, as it has been replaced by StepByStep version 5.

If you have a need to re-install version 4.5 you can download a zip file containing the installation from here.

You will need to contact us with your license code at admin@aphasia-software.com to allow the software to be activated after re-installation.
